PIP remembers our good friend and tutoring coordinator Tebbe Farrell, who passed away suddenly and too young on May 20. Tebbe brought inspiration and progress (and organic coffee and new furniture and music) to PIP.

Power Inspires Progress supports lifelong learning. Tutoring and Education are a part of every workday. Each trainee has an educational goal.
Be part of this grass-roots employment education program for inner city residents. Volunteer tutors help PIP trainees re-enter the workforce with improved skills and qualifications.

Tutors Work with Trainees to:
Work one-on-one in math, reading, writing, presentation, computer skills, and job search
Pass GED tests, enter college or the trades or gain professional certifications
Gain confidence, promote lifelong learning, build skills, and achieve stable employment

How do I become a Volunteer Tutor?
Commit to 1.5 hours each week during scheduled hours, Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. 1 p.m. 3 p.m. 5 and 7 p.m.
